Styling Jeans With Just USA & Just Black Denim

Did someone order denim?!
Finding jeans that fit you AND make you look and feel good usually is a challenge. Thinking about trying on a handful of styles and sizes makes me want to live in sweats even more. But once you find the shape that fits you like a glove and is versatile for styling, it's hard to stray away from buying more!

Check out my fave silhouettes, what they'll do for your body type, and how to style them for summer and going into fall...

Straight Crop
A current favorite and very on-trend style, the straight-legged jean. This silhouette is great if you're petite as it isn't too baggy. Elongate your legs and balance out your hips and shoulders with a darker wash, or rock a lighter wash to create an illusion of more curves.
Style them with sneakers and a graphic tee for a simple, everyday look.

Flared & Wide Leg
Flared jeans will accentuate the leg and add some drama that will always work in your favor whether you're tall or want to create the illusion of being tall!
Give them a try with wedged sandals, a white button down, and leather belt for a 70's inspired outfit.

High Waisted
A figure-contouring style that will hug you in all the right places! Skinny high-waisted jeans are great for defining the waist or showing off an hourglass figure.
Pair them with mules and a loose knit sweater (French tucked of course) for a comfy but elevated outfit. Add a little cuff for extra detail!

Boyfriend
More relaxed than a skinny jean, but just as chic! The boyfriend shape looks good on all body types, but those with curves have an advantage of pulling off this fit! These will fit over the hips and butt without causing that gap in the waist you would typically get by sizing up in another style.
Dress them up with heels and a blazer for a trendy 9-to-9 look.

Making Cold Brew With Scotty P

I'm now officially drinking coffee like a Gilmore.
Whether you're a GG binge watcher or not, all coffee lovers can appreciate a good cup of caffeine and Scott Patterson (AKA Luke Danes) has brought that from Stars Hollow to the real world.
Scotty P's Big Mug Coffee has an assortment of sustainably-made blends in both ground and KCup styles. I was gifted the Breakfast Blend and before I even opened the bag my room smelt like coffee heaven!

Like the site says, the Breakfast Blend will greet you like a warm, happy puppy and we all know I love those! I'm a 'buy a $4 iced coffee every day' type of gal so I was excited to try out a new cold brew recipe with Scotty P's in hopes to save some $ this new year!
There was one summer when I made a huge jar of cold brew every day and would be bouncing off the walls, it was so good. Then there's been times it just doesn't come out well at all so I try something new...like adding ice cream!
Before you start, you'll need a jar or container for brewing and another for your final product. Also, find yourself a measuring cup and fine mesh strainer!

Ingredients:
☆ Coffee grounds
☆ Water
☆ Ice cubes
☆ Creamer, or in my case, cookie butter ice cream!
☆ Sweetener/Sugar (optional)

The most important thing about making cold brew is the water to coffee ratio which will make or break you. I've learned from the experts that the lucky numbers are 4:1 (4 parts water to 1 part coffee).

Steps:
☆ I combined 16 oz of water and 4 oz of coffee into a large mason jar
☆ Leave uncovered at room temperature for 12-24 hours
☆ Strain through fine mesh into another jar/glass
☆ Refrigerate until cold (overnight)
☆ Add desired ingredients
☆ Enjoy!

Bonus points!
The team over at Scotty P's really takes the time to make quality product and fresh blends for every order. Did you know there's such thing as coffee cherry? It's a nutrient-rich, antioxidant superfood included in Scotty P's coffee. Your purchase also helps clean up the environment and create jobs in countries that source this healthy coffee.
