NO-CHELLA IN NYC

I think this is the first year I've really been like, "Wow, I wish I was at Coachella."
The vibes, the music, and mostly the fashion!!
I thought I would throw together an outfit that was slightly inspired by the festival; a spring boho look!

My new thing to do with my hair are these little braids going back, let down or tied back into a high pony!
(My roommate likes to call me Post Malone when I do this lol)

I got this cute off-the-shoulder embroidered top at the thrift store, the brand is called Mine.
And of course, I'm loving the flared everything trend lately so I wore my dark wash flared jeans that I also thrifted!

As for the accessories, I borrowed my roommates heeled sandals because I'm too short for these jeans, as well as her tortoise sunnies. I used my Guess mini tote that is my go-to (thrifted) and I wore a homemade beaded choker necklace.

Thrifted finds in this look:
Top - $10
Jeans - $5
Purse - $20

DIY choker costs about $3

*having a roommate with cute shoes & sunnies - priceless!*

BACK IN SUBURBIA

My mom wants me to name this post "Suburban Blonde Back in Suburbia."
So, I'm back home for spring break and the weather has actually been pretty nice here in upstate NY!
I try to pack light coming home, basically just lounge clothes for relaxing in, so I raided my little sister's closet for this look.

She had this super cute distressed overall dress.
I paired it with a tassel hemmed crop top I had and did a messy, half-up bun for what my family called a "country girl" vibe.
Then, I threw on my blush, velvet babes from Steve Madden with a lavender, velvet gem choker!

Seriously, these sneakers are the perfect touch to any look and I think tassels are my new favorite thing for spring (this is the first of many tassel details.)
I'm also having this new craze over fancy choker's I'm finding at Forever21, and they're so affordable!

SUPERNOVA GIRL

Now that the weather's getting nicer, my outfits get cuter and this post is all about my fave booites I had been dreaming about for months from Steve Madden (ON SALE NOW!)
+a shirt that is my new go-to.

First, the top is from Francesca's and is the perfect chambray and pretty blue wash with wide, tied up sleeves and cold shoulders.
This top is a nice go-to when I'm in a rush or don't know what to wear because it's easy to dress up or wear casually!

Now for these babies!
These velvet Edit-S boots from Steve Madden may be an inch too high for me but I couldn't resist them. I love space-related things so having cute velvet booties with silver stars all over them, from my fave shoe retailer, became my goals!
They were originally $130 so I was (impatiently) waiting for them to go on sale, which they eventually did to $50. I traveled all across the city to 3 different stores and finally scored them in my size when they rang up $30!!
I also got some cute pink velvet platform sneakers that were on sale for $40, I'll link those below too!

Exciting side note: Even though I will be graduating in May with a BS in Fashion & Textiles from SUNY Oneonta and an AS in Fashion Business Management from FIT, I just got accepted to come back to FIT next year to get an AS in Advertising & Marketing Communications!!
I'm super excited that I'll be back in the city and at FIT!
