BLUE JEAN BABY

I've been wanting these Kenzo jeans from Brandy Melville for a while now, so when I saw them in the store I had to buy them! They're described as boyfriend style but I definitely get that 'mom jeans' vibe too. They're super comfy to wear, take it from a girl who usually wears leggings every day, and I'm obsessed with the two tone color patches!

I paired the jeans with booties and a simple tee, dressing it up with a statement necklace from J. Crew and my metallic purse from Poverty Flats.

LAST MINUTE GIFT GUIDE

I PINE FOR YOU

New 'do, who this?
I'm living for the days where it is warm enough not to wear a jacket all day long but unfortunately I think that time has come to an end. One of my favorite things to do in the city is to go walking around the West Village; admiring the apartments I dream of living in and the cute cafes I want to sip coffee in. I threw on one of my new favorite pieces, this super comfy and soft turtleneck from GAP. Along with my go-to pair of jeggings and sensible boots, I was ready to go out and adventure.
I also loved pairing the olive green with a light purple lip!

FACIAL FAVES

Finding the perfect facial products to use is basically one big trial and error process. But once you find the ones that work for your skin type and make you feel good, you're golden!
In this post, I'm going to share with you my top 3 facial products I have been loving lately, as well as a DIY facial to try at home!

1. Exfoliate

Once a week I use the Ocean Salt Scrub from LUSH. This scrub is great for preventing breakouts and keeping your skin smooth, refreshed and bright!

2. Cleanse

Every night I wash my face with Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser. This simply just cleans off any makeup I didn't get off with a makeup wipe and it makes my skin super soft. I feel so much better and rejuvenated before bed and into the morning!

3. Moisturize
With winter starting, I really needed a good moisturizer for my face to make sure it doesn't start to dry up. I randomly chose to try the Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer because I've had good experiences with Aveeno products before. It also has salicylic and blemish treatment within it for "clear, even-looking skin." My face tones tend to get uneven during the winter so I've been using this product for about a week now and I'm loving how soft and moisturized it makes me feel!

4. DIY Face Mask / Spot Treatment

I was never one for using random cooking products for DIY beauty treatments until I tried this one!
All you have to do is mix together these 3 ingredients...

2 tbsp of honeyfor moisturizing
1 tsp of cinnamon powder - for reducing inflamation, redness and drying out acne
1 wedge of lemon juice - for brighteninv dark spots and scarring

Mix these ingredients up in a bowl until you get a nice paste, then massage it all over your face or use it as spot treatment on certain areas.
I leave mine on for about 15-20 minutes, wearing an old tee incase of drips, and I try to do this twice a week for the best results!

Comment any facial faves you have!

METALLIC SHINE

I recently received my winter box from Poverty Flats and it's like they know me so well!
I opened up the box and first saw this beautiful, metallic backpack. I was speechless and totally heart eye emoji over it, it took me a minute to realize this bag was all mine now!
I immediately had to switch all of my school supplies over into it and bring it to class.

It's the perfect bag for school and day trips out. I'm also a huge sucker for anything metallic so I was really excited about getting the metallic silver mini tote too!

THE ESSENTIAL WRISTLET

Living in the city keeps me busy every day of the week. Whether I have a full day of classes or a day off, I'm always on the go. I like to keep my outfits cute but comfortable. That way I can show off my latest fashion finds or try out new trends, while also being prepared for a long day of walking. The toughest part about a long day out is deciding what bag to carry along with me. This usually depends on where I'm going and how much I need to bring with me. If I'm just taking a trip out to a cafe, shopping, a concert, or a walk, I'll go for the easiest and smallest bag, my wristlet.

My wristlet is from Poverty Flats by Rian HandbagsIt is the perfect size to fit all my essentials; money and cards, sunglasses, lip balm, a mini lotion, headphones and my phone. It keeps everything safe and easily accessible. And while it is great alone, I also use it as a wallet inside a handbag or tote for my more busier days.
Poverty Flats is a smaller, growing business, with high quality and trendy products at affordable prices. The mesh style of the wristlet is my favorite because it really fits my athleisure style!

CORDUROY CRUSH

It's officially fall and I think we're all very excited to pull out our fave sweaters, scarves, coats and boots! I would make a pumpkin spice reference too, but I'm that one girl who hates anything pumpkin flavored 🙈
I recently had the opportunity to adventure all the way down to Pier i in NYC for a meet up with blogger, Amber Fillerup from Barefoot Blonde!
I'll give you guys a quick recap on the super chill and fun event, and of course my outfit of the day!

It was a gorgeous day to go to the pier, relax and read some poetry with my roommate...yes, for fun!
The meet up was a little going away party for Amber and her family as they move out of NYC. We got to chat with her and her husband, David, and they were super nice!
You know when you don't really know who someone is but then you meet them and they're so sweet you can't not love them? That's what happened to me with Amber, she's totally my new #goals!

Also, there were cookie dough balls from Cookie DO and I may have over-indulged in them, I couldn't help it!

Now for what I wore...

I just bought this adorable "tomato" colored, corduroy mini skirt from Forever 21 and it's my new obsession! I paired it with a striped tee, but I also plan on wearing it with my black and white, buffalo check flannel. This was a simple and comfy outfit for a long, long walk uptown and for the breezy weather.

Here I am in Grand Central, feeling like Blair Waldorf calling up Chuck Bass, but let's be real....B would never use a pay phone!
My wedges are Ivanka Trymp and from T.J. Maxx.

8 OUTFITS IN NYC

Hello all, I'm excited to say I'm back on this blog after a long while of focusing on some other projects!
For my first post back, I wanted to show some of my recent OOTDs from my latest adventures in NYC.

One of my first days here, I wore a laced-front, striped top with my favorite denim mini, a blush trench coat and as usual, my Adidas!
That day was so cool because I got to meet the one and only Randy Fenoli from Say Yes to the Dress!
"You don't need sleep, get off your ass and push the pavement!"

The day of the VMAs which happened right down the street from us, I wore the same denim skirt, a white bodysuit, a new blue and pink bomber jacket, and some platform shoes!
Outside of Madison Square Garden, I casually bumped into Brian and Scott, Ariana Grande's backup dancers, so we had to take a pic!

On to the denim, and lots of it!
For a quick OOTD shoot outside of Rachael Ray's studio, I rocked my vintage Tommy Hilfiger jeans and a striped top, paired with platform sneaks and my Tommy baseball cap!
Another day I wore this chambray button up top with a DIY denim choker and some purple lips for a fun touch!
For a walk to Washington Square Park, I took up the denim on denim trend with jean shorts and my dad's old Levi's denim jacket from the 90s!

I had the most amazing opportunity of sitting side stage at Macy's Fashions Front Row show which was literally incredible, I'll never forget the whole night!
I went out to buy this new high neck, black dress and paired it with my Jeffery Campbell Seuss booties!
That night, I got to meet the gorgeous Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski from Fashion Police!

A night out on the town wearing, once again, my denim mini skirt, a black velvet tank, my blush trench from Forever 21, and leather booties.
I'd like to thank my amazingly talented roomie for some awesome shots of me!

Tommy all day, every day!
One of my favorite adventures so far was definitely visiting Tommy Pier! I'm in love with Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger, so of course I had to put on my new Tommy shirt and check out the pier where the collection's debut show was held! It was a public carnival for a day and I was so obsessed! I also may have, sorta, kinda spent $95 on a sweatshirt from the Tommy x Gigi collection. #NoRegrets right?

I'll be collecting up all of my outfit pictures and doing some more posts soon. Keep a look out for my next one which will be all about the adventures I've taken, not focusing on what I wore to them!
