OOTD & St. Ive's Pop Up

Adidas Tee Black - Burgundy - 70's Orange / Distressed Denim Mini (out of stock but similar here) / Similar SM Platform Espadrilles Style 1 & Style 2 / Steve Madden Retro Sunnies

I recently thrifted this Adidas tee for only $8 (in the boy's section) and I was so excited about it. It's got that retro, sporty, and somewhat preppy vibes and I'm all about that! I paired it with my denim skirt from Forever 21 and Steve Madden black platform espadrilles I found on sale at Marshall's.
Weirdly enough, I have another pair of these but in blue and they're super comfy, but the black ones give me bad blisters on my ankle, so I'm still figuring that out.
Clearly I like Steve a lot cause I also scored a pair of the retro style sunnies at T.J. Maxx and they really are my go-to pair.

I saw this sign and just started singing, "a scrub is a guy that can't get no love from me...."

This week I also went down to SoHo to check out the St. Ive's Mixing Bar pop up that is about to close. This place was so cute, so aesthetically pleasing and filled with good vibes and amazing scents!
You got to get a free sample of something after taking a short survey, I got the green tea face scrub. Then you could go check out all the testers and figure out what you wanted to mix together for your own scrub or lotion.

Kristen and I both chose a scrub made with volcanic sand for moderate exfoliation, and pineapple mango as the ingredient. It was so hard to choose between that and the coconut cacao or the cucumber kale. But the pineapple mango definitely has the best smell and the volcanic sand is soothing and not too rough. The size of the jar is huge too for only $12!!

I tried my scrub last night and OMG, I'M IN LOVE.
My skin felt so amazing, clean, and refreshed after. I didn't even want to use any toners or facial sprays after because it just felt so great alone. One of the best purchases I've made for sure!

Olive & Gingham

Similar Cropped Sweater / Gingham Mini (only $9!) / Similar Oversized Denim Jacket / Steve Madden Bertie Sneakers / Exact Marbled Sunnies

I took these pictures a couple weeks ago and it was colder than it is now...
New York, I'm getting sick of this heat wave, I want to wear my sweaters!
But if the weather ever cools down a bit, heres one of my favorite transition looks. This olive/army green color is the color of the season apparently, and this cropped sweatshirt I scored at Forever 21 for like $4 is so comfy. I thought it looked really cute with this Forever 21 gingham mini skirt I thrifted for $4, layered under a denim jacket of course; also F21 and thrifted!
Fall is my favorite season because I love sweaters and layering. But going into it can be tricky because you don't want to be too warm or too cold, another reason why layering is always a good idea. I also think gingham was not just a summer trend and you can totally transfer it into fall!
I'm ready for sweater weather, scarves, LYM beanies, and cute jackets, who's with me?!

Studded Details

If you didn't know this, I basically have a sixth sense...spotting anything Tommy Hilfiger. From a mile away, without a tag, without a logo, I can just tell. So when I go thrifting I'm always on a hunt for that vintage TH. On one lucky day, I found these flared jeans with gold studs down the side and around the waist and I fell in love.
I love flared jeans but I don't always love having to wear heels with them because I'm too short. I wore my go-to little black booties and a simple black tee. My denim choker tied together nicely with the jeans and my oversized marble sunnies were a must!
We shot downtown in the West Village and there was the cutest Vespa on one street and I thought it would look so cool with my jeans. So edgy for me, but it worked, right?!
Side note: I can't wait for the new Tommy X Gigi collection that comes out in 3 days. It's rock music themed and these jeans would actually fit with it so perfectly!

Your New Travel BFF | FREITAG

I'm really excited to help announce the launch of this extremely innovative & unique product from a brand called FREITAG!
It was founded by two brothers in Zurich and they created functional, water-repellent bags. They designed multicolored bags inspired by traffic and city life which is super cool. Plus, each bag is recycled! Now they have over 5,000 unique products including all styles of bags, accessories, and apparel.
Being the innovated company that they are, they have started a new project for all of you travelers!
Suitcases can take up a lot of room and when you're bringing one somewhere before packing it up, it can be annoying or awkward carrying/pulling an empty bag or suitcase right?
Well this bag, the ZIPPELIN, is the world's FIRST inflatable travel bag, hand-cut in Switzerland from recycled truck tarp materials.
"Spacious when you need it, compact when you don't."
How it works:
An inner tube to a bicycle was used to replace the framing of a suitcase, making it able to be inflated with a standard pump. Lightweight but tough is the best possible characteristics you'd want to be able to call your travel bag right? Taking up no space when you're not using it? Even better!
I love that you can choose how to use it. Add the wheels, carry over your shoulder, as a backpack or carry it with your hands, totally versatile!

Awesome Features:
Zipper compartment, sleeve for magazines, one-handed grip, stunt wheels with skateboard bearings, stainless-steel quick-release axels, zipper compartment for axels when not in use, two top grips for pulling with either hand, double-zipper access, zipper sleeve, and straps to make it easy to roll up!
FREITAG is super sustainable and doesn't want to make any waste in production. So if this is something you'd love to make your new travel buddy, or just learn more about it, make sure to check out the project and support it!
