RED, WHITE & BLUE ALL OVER

It's the holiday / weekend that basically kicks off the start of summer, Memorial Day.
Today I ended up wearing this navy & white striped dress with a navy bandana neck scarf and white sneaks. I started looking back at old pictures from last summer and realized I wear this "look" very often just in different ways. So I've collected some looks that I've worn in the last year that pull together what I like to call my 'All American Girl' style!

Look #1

I went to Tommy Pier back in early September (one of my favorite days ever!)
I'm a major Tommy girl, it's an American classic, so I sported the logo muscle tee from the Urban Outfitters x Tommy collection and simple denim shorts from Forever 21.

Look #2 (Today)

This Nautica dress (thrifted) is so comfy and lightweight it's perfect for the summer and I'm a big fan of neck ties (Freds as my roomate & I like to call them, hinting at Fred from Scooby-Doo).

Look #3

This looks was from the day I went uptown in NYC to meet Amber Fillerup from Barefoot Blonde.
I had just purchased this coral corduroy skirt and paired it with my navy striped long sleeve tee for a bright and preppy look!

Look #4

Typical summer's day look here. A high-neck navy tank with my navy suede skort, dainty gold necklaces, and white sandals. Comfortable and cute!

Lastly, this was a cooler day going into fall, when I met Julia Engel from Gal Meets Glam!
This used to be my go-to dress for years, I got it from Joe Fresh, but unfortunately it no longer fits like it used to. I loved wearing it with a red bandana, brown leather riding boots, and my dad's old denim Levi's jacket!

CHERRY BLOSSOMS & BALLOONS

There was once a day when it actually felt like spring in NYC and not winter again (cries)
And on that beautiful day, my friends and I wandered around Central Park.

I threw on a graphic tee (F21), navy suede skort (LA Hearts), and of course my denim jacket (thrifted).
I loved the simplicity of this look and its cool tones.
As for the accessories, I wore my new fave shades from Forever 21 (no one believes me when I say they're from there) and Steve Madden's black velvet star purse.

The balloons were recycled from a corgi puppy birthday photo shoot we witnessed, AKA the cutest thing ever, and they just happened to match my aesthetic of the day!
